Being gay is not a choice...

If I have to hear that being gay is a choice one more time...I'm going to snap! How is it a choice? While going through puberty, or whenever you understood what attraction was, did you find yourself attracted to both genders? Did you make the conscience decision to be with your own gender or the opposite? If being gay was a choice, why would you choose it? So that you could have your rights taken away? So that you could be ridiculed, kicked out of your house, abused, beaten, murdered? I don't think so. Lets use some logic people. I know it's hard, but please try.

Cell Phones

I am irritated by this generations attachment to their cell phone. I will be the first to admit that I love my phone. But I am capable of going through a couple hours without looking at my phone.
I don't understand this absolute need to have your phone on and on you at all times. It is like it is attached by an umbilical cord. What is so important that it can't wait?
I went to the movies the other day and the people in front of me where on their phone the entire time. Why pay to watch a movie if you are going to be on your phone the whole time!! I sure as hell didn't pay to watch you text.
In my classes, the students can't keep their phones in their pockets long enough to hear the lecture. It is disrespectful and rude to text while the teacher is talking. You are supposed to be paying attention, taking notes, learning. Not texting! I just don't understand it. People freak out at the very thought of losing their phone. They are outraged when they have to turn off their phone for a flight or a lecture. What is so important about your cell phone. What did you do before cell phones? Fuck...get over it!!
